The hotel was very clean & tidy when we arrived,but after a couple of days they several big parties arrive,for a couple of days at a time,the guests were very noisy late at night,and again early in the morning.On both occasions both parties managed to turn the hotel in to a complete and under mess,not only in there rooms,but all the corridors were left in a discracefull state,which meant that the staff were so busy cleaning up the whole hotel,that our room only got cleaned once in seven days,and the towels were only changed once in seven days.But that was not there fault,as they had a full time job cleaning up after the other guests.

Budget

A bit noisy as there is a group of children playing and talking at corridor during late evening (about 10pm) and early morning (6am onward). I have left a charger transmitter, having been calling and e- mail to the motel but no reply at all, feel disappointed!

This is the best motel that I ever stay before!! Thanks for Sunderland for its cool and awesome services! Love the room so much!

I have to change the room due to airconditioning problem. But the staff reaction was quite fast.

Coveniently located and is within reach to almost all the desired points. The price is acceptable and the staff are friendly and helpful. We appreciate the extension for the check out time allowed by the staff and this gave us more time to rove around the town till our departure.

Should have sufficient number of staff to do the housekeeping. The shortage has hindered the room cleaning to be done on time. However, we were compensated by allowing us to check out two hours later.

Reasonable price, comfortable and nice motel

Location of motel is good; on a well known main street in Kuah. Walking distance from Masjid Al-Hana (5-7mins), the langkawi fair mall, Billions food supermarket and jetty (15-20mins, lots of shopping/halal food options, McD, kfc, Arab and Western food), a small beach, legends park and big adventure playground (10mins, great for kids).

This was one of the worst hotels/motels we have ever stayed in. After travelling throughout Asia for the last 3months we have stayed in many hotels/motels/hostels, so we know what standards to expect. We stayed 4 nights and not only was this was one of the most expensive so far, it was the dirtiest, and the least well maintained. The rooms are very small, and ours didnt have a window (although you can request one for a little extra money). They look like they have had a recent poor quality surface facelift (newly painted walls, but sink falling off wall, door frames don't fit properly etc). When we arrived it was obvious the sheets hadn't been changed, merely the beds re-made. In fact, the sheets hadn't been changed in a while, as on closer inspection the bottom sheets were covered in a layer of body hairs left behind by previous guests, along with various stains. As it was late and we were tired, we just asked for new sheets and changed them ourselves. Our room wasn't cleaned once in 4 days. The rubbish bag (including rotting food) attached to the cleaning trolly, which lay dormant in the hallway, wasn't emptied during our entire stay. The room was infested with ants, and on the second night we discovered why; we returned to the room to find a massive cockroach scuttling across the floor, and when checking for others, looked under the beds (two singles pushed together) and found several months worth of food, wrappers and general rubbish that had just been pushed out of the way when cleaning. When I went downstairs to complain, the lady on reception was extremely unhelpful, and didn't seem to think there was a problem with cockroaches, ants and rotting food in our room. Her only response was 'oh they have been skipping your room', that there was nothing they could do until cleaning arrived the next morning, so she would tell them to come and clean it first thing. When I asked to change rooms, she refused, but to her credit did come and remove the cockroach.
